First of all, thank you for your interest in Decorative Stone Solutions (DSS)! I am the founder and president of this organization, a third-generation landscaping stone veteran, happy husband, and proud father of two. The journey started as free summer labor at dad’s retail stone yard, I would get to do all the grunt work around the yard. It wasn’t long before I escaped the hard labor and went on to college and earned a BS in Exercise Physiology. After a short stint in that field, I naturally migrated back to my roots, doing what I was good at, playing with rocks.

I began as an overeducated stone yard assistant helping load customer’s vehicles, then moved on to simple homeowner sales, transitioning later to contractor sales, and finally an architectural representative. I’ve had the unique opportunity of experiencing most every scenario the stone industry has to offer, worked for some of the best companies in the Southern California market, and have been mentored by the most knowledgeable individuals in the field. This practical experience paired with knowledge accumulated during rigorous certification courses and continued education has provided me with a thorough understanding of the entire landscape construction process.

As landscaping stone’s popularity has increased in recent years, the industry has seen a proliferation in the number of stone vendors. Unfortunately, the knowledge base of these dealers has lagged far behind their numbers. I recognized the need for a landscaping stone specialist that can be the industry’s single source for information and procurement of material, hence the birth of DSS in the summer of 2007. The business model for Decorative Stone Solutions Inc., was created to address the needs of all project participants. We look forward to the opportunity to prove our value to your organization.

Hello, thank you for visiting our website and your interest in learning more about who we are and what we do at Decorative Stone Solutions. My name is Dan Circuit and I joined the DSS team in 2017. I've worked in management and sales for over 15 years.

I have found a great group of people here at DSS and found a new passion for rocks in my life! I can’t drive down the street without noticing decorative stone on every corner. Whether it is checking out freeway off-ramps, boulders at office parks, or  different types of dump trucks driving down the road, I’m always thinking about this new world that has opened up around me.

I was born and raised in San Diego and when not at work you'll most likely find me at one of my four kids activities like dance, baseball, soccer or cross country. I enjoy traveling with the family and exploring new places.

I look forward to coming to work every day and hope to be able to help you out with your next project.

Hello. My name is Jessica Tiller and I handle the accounting and administrative needs for Decorative Stone Solutions, Inc. I’ve been with DSS since June of 2021.

While stone and landscaping are new to me, rocks and sand are not. Prior to DSS, I worked in the off-road racing and recreational industry for 15 years. I love rocks, dirt, crunching numbers, and analyzing financials and Decorative Stone Solutions has allowed me to incorporate all into an exciting and fulfilling career. I’ve enjoyed learning more about the stones and aggregates we work with all while geek-ing out over spread-sheets.

I was born in Northern California, and raised in San Diego. I love getting outside to hike, off-road, and explore with my son and boyfriend. Then return home to snuggle with my two Great Danes on the couch. Thank you for taking the time to get to know our company and the team who makes it happen.

Hello, and thanks for visiting the DSS Website and my bio!

My name is Jarrett Crawford and I joined the team as an estimator here at Decorative Stone Solutions in May of 2024.

I’m a native San Diegan, though I spent 10 years in the Midwest and Florida while serving as a Non-Commissioned Officer and In-Flight Refueling Instructor in the US Air Force. After leaving the military, I went back to school and graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  Prior to this role, I’ve worked my way through the ranks in marketing in the offroad industry and owned a business as an inspector here in San Diego County.

Outside of work, I live in a small house that I built myself, nestled on a large piece of land in the remote hills of San Diego County. My wife and I raise animals, garden, and enjoy the small wins and major challenges of our lifestyle. Around my house, I’ve collected just about every rock I could find to build decorative walls, pathways, and waterways. Appreciating the natural beauty of Decorative Stone is in my blood!

I bring a unique background and perspective, as well as hands-on experience to the estimating role, and I have found it to be a perfect fit for me.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!

Hiya! I’m Danielle and I am the Accounting Admin and I’ve been with Decorative Stone Solutions since July of 2024. Born and raised in Illinois, I traded snowy winters for Florida sunshine in 2012. Since 2011, I’ve worked in finance—from banks to investment firms—helping clients turn numbers into opportunities. Now, I’m excited to bring that experience to the world of decorative stone.

Outside of crunching numbers, you’ll find me with my dog, Sugar. Whether we’re exploring the neighborhood, or she’s sleeping under a blanket (which is 95% of the day, she’s 10!). She's my favorite reminder that joy comes from the simple moments in life and the occasional extra treat!

Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about DSS!
